Apiweb ADR time. GGrrrrrrrrr. How they expect accurate data when I can't even change the number of hives I have I don't know. Maybe the site needs a special sort of aptitude I don't have.

Does everything happen on Apiweb, I have tried to register and log in but it keeps rejecting me so I gave up

One of the most common problems with Apiweb is trying to access it from an Apple device. Apiweb uses java which isn't supported natively in iOS. Some of the buttons and links won't do anything on those devices and this renders the website unuseable.

I filled in 2 ADR on apiweb on 06/04, no problem, easy! Today I receive e-mails for both reminding me I still have to do ADR for both. Apiweb says I've done it. I called Sheryl and left a message, have not heard a reply yet.

I expect it's a form letter. Nowhere does it say I have or haven't completed my ADR. It simply says I have to have it done by 1 June.

So not being linked to the database is yet another example of Apiweb not meeting user expectations.

It won't accept the password that I've always used (I wrote it down so I wouldn't forget) so goodness knows how i am going to change anything. There are of course still people who don't have computers and I didn't think there was any law that said you had to have one. Even if you have one I don't think you have to use it.

Yeah I tried to update hive numbers etc tonight , the pin for hive placement was as random as me throwing darts..wild. Would love to put in my boundary/ titles as my hive site it would be way more accurate. But it did accept my info ....Hopefully. Tricky little tool that one.

No. I saw a snarky warning in the beekeeper magazine and thought I had missed the paperwork so I just did it online

Only on Apiweb. If you want a hard copy you can download it from Apiweb. Oh, bother, that's right, Apiweb does not work very well.

There is a PDf attached to the bottom of the email. It says you can print it and amend to send by snail mail if that is your preferred option.
I've just done ours with iPad, didn't have any problems, but then I worked in teaching and some of the software for student 'achievement' data is way worse than apiweb! Just saying...

This web interface is a huge disappointment, usability zero, design is practically nonexistent.
I can see I reported my AFB problem in January but I see under "action taken" N/A. What the heck? I gave detailed information about the actions I have taken re the infected hive when I reported it. Now I can't even change or add anything so after fiddling 15-20 minutes on the site, I ticked all the necessary boxes and clicked send.

Seriously you can purchese cars and food and whatever online for years, you can do almost all govt. related stuff from library deals to tax returns and a simple authentication/form handling/reporting seems something weird from tha late nineties.

Get an intern for 3 months and you can get it done properly for peanuts. Seriously.

(I'm sorry for the rant but this hobby attracts people from all walks of life, if I would release something like the Apiweb site, next day I should start my day on seek looking for a new job.)

@Gabor what sort of cost to do it properly? May we should petition the agency to add a one off charge to all beekeepers. A few dollars each would add up quickly.

There should be an option to receive a paper copy not to print one off.
What of all the people that don't have computers?

Pretty sure there is. Those that never made the switch to apiweb must still get notices by regular mail.

Surely those who didn't provide them with an e-mail address will get one by mail, or does that sound like common sense?
