  22. View Offer Beekeeping and Honey Positions Available Our business is continually growing, so we are always on the lookout for talented staff that are going to love being part of our teams. We have room to create (permanent or seasonal) roles to suit: Experienced Beekeepers Intermediate Beekeepers Beekeeping Assistants and Trainees Labourers & Drivers Honey/Food Processors Communication and Administration hot shots Everything New Zealand (ETNZ) originates from Island Hills Station, a working high country station at the base of the Southern Alps. The best interests of Farms, Bees and Beekeepers is at the very heart of what we stand for. ETNZ does multiple honey crops throughout the season and pollination. We’re now based in Waipara, a more central location than our original position, but our honey is collected from Island Hills Station and other farmlands around North Canterbury and the Hurunui. Accommodation can be provided for our staff and roles can be created to suit levels of experience and needs. For the Beekeepers: Our goal and golden ratio is to have at least one beekeeper to every 350 hives, to ensure everything is as well cared for as possible. We use this ratio as a guide for hiring, however, we actually work in teams - so no one beekeeper is currently responsible for any specific hives. It is worth noting that, at this time of the year, a lot of the more technical beekeeping is done and moving season is beginning. Any beekeeping or assisting roles are going to start with more of a cropping and hive movement focus. As per the usual ebbs and flows, the roles will involve more hands on beekeeping later in the season. We aim to provide a job that gives continuous learning, good opportunities and a high level of life/work satisfaction. In return we expect our beekeepers to: - Work well independently and with others - Show Initiative - Be high-energy and not shy of hard work - Host good communication skills - Want to learn new things - Understand the demands of the job A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated recognizing the skills and previous experience of successful candidates. Applicants for any of these positions must have a full license and NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
