  1. so here is one of my hives last night, the other 2 hives were normal. No rain for ages but 30 + deg c Napier day
  2. Good on you. Yell out if you need a hand. Then next move "take over the world".
  3. so I couldnt resist a peek at the swarm from a week ago to see how the drawing of wax was going... well fancy that there are larvae there already. So what do you think, Leave the queen to carry on or replace as she is an unknown age and may not last the winter?
  4. I got a nice swarm 5m up a tree. Nice and easy. Thanks @deejaycee for the heads up. What I love about swarm chasing is no matter the description you dont know what you will actually find. When I talked to the guy on the phone it was low down and he couldnt get the washing in and there was quite a bit of comb he could see, what I found was a tight swarm with very few flying and no comb.
  5. Not wanting to put peer pressure on but how bout an update @Rob Stockley. :-)
  6. yup it is by the letter of the law. it uses explosive to propel a projectile.
  7. @Cain and @Rob Stockley Thanks both of you. Doing what should be done. Do you need a hand Cain? Just yell out if you do. Im not far away.
  8. Yay a week is over which means ..... B-day.
  9. So how often should you be in your hive and when does it become too often?
