Doryanthes palmeri. They are a rare Lily apparently that may only flower once every 13 years or so. Not as great for the bees as I was hoping. Native to Australia. I've had this plant growing in Northland for over 10 years. it started flowering in it's 2nd year from transplanting. It sends out suckers or pups right at the main crown and we found the plant will flower once only per crown, but we had flowers every year in early October. Yes, the Bees love it. We had about 6 clumps. I got it from a guy who had about half an acre of it. It takes a big tractor to dig them out
