beefree 291 Posted May 12, 2017 These guys are well stocked up meanwhile the Christchurch shop suffers? Share this comment Link to comment
Kiwi Bee 559 Posted May 13, 2017 Very professional, I like it @Trevor Gillbanks Share this comment Link to comment
Trevor Gillbanks 6237 Posted May 13, 2017 @beefree The Christchurch Depot has only ever been a Depot. I don't think it has ever been set up as a shop. They have plenty of stock, but it is not on display in the shop. Pity, as I like to browse and it is only 15 min walk from my daughters home. Share this comment Link to comment
GoDamit 44 Posted May 14, 2017 Christchurch does have some stock on display, not a whole lot tho. Easier to to do your browsing online anyway. Share this comment Link to comment
Trevor Gillbanks 6237 Posted May 14, 2017 Yes. You are probably correct. But I like to browse and touch. Share this comment Link to comment
beefree 291 Posted May 14, 2017 My point is they often are running out of stock in their depot as well and we often have to wait for Auckland to send down a container, which can take a little while.... I heard it rumored the Auckland hogs the stock and we get seconds. Share this comment Link to comment
Trevor Gillbanks 6237 Posted May 14, 2017 There is nothing like a good rumour.:whistle: Share this comment Link to comment
Lucy Tasker 82 Posted May 16, 2017 Hi guys! One of the key plans for this year is to re-fit Christchurch's shop, so you should see good things coming their way pretty soon! Share this comment Link to comment
GoDamit 44 Posted May 22, 2017 I've been waiting for them to get more stock of the one handed queen catchers for some time and wax foundation supply is often patchy. Still my favorite supplier. Kathy is great to chat to. You need a much easier sales system tho, get a bar code scanner. The actual sale is the most painful part. Share this comment Link to comment
Lucy Tasker 82 Posted May 24, 2017 @GoDamit It looks like we have a lot of stock in Auckland, but none in Christchurch. I've just asked for some to be shipped down to Christchurch in the next stock transfer, so they should be there soon! Sorry about that. The sales system is currently being looked at - I'm sure you can imagine barcodes on every product is quite an undertaking, but we are looking at improving the process :) Share this comment Link to comment
Lucy Tasker 82 Posted May 24, 2017 @GoDamit I just heard that they're already in transit, and should be there shortly. Share this comment Link to comment
GoDamit 44 Posted May 26, 2017 Oh, I was just there yesterday and asked Kathy to check the Auckland stock and get some transferred down. I'll laugh if we end up with most of them. Thanks @Lucy Tasker. I completely understand putting a barcode on every piece of stock is not really an option, but a laminated list of products and barcodes at the sales counter would work. Kathy mentioned something about customers using an ipad to create a list of items, not sure if it was her idea or a plan for ecrotek but I straight out said "hell no" I want to enter the shop, pick up what I want, pay for it and leave. (more often than not gasbagging for half and hour aswell) Share this comment Link to comment
Lucy Tasker 82 Posted May 29, 2017 @GoDamit Barcodes is definitely something we're working towards, it's just finding the best way for everyone involved. She may be thinking of the website and online ordering, which is currently under construction and being improved. Share this comment Link to comment
