Wow lots of hives. It's sad often thefts happen to little guys and these people put hundress of hives next to state 3 and probably don't lose any.

It is no point to steal from themselves

Hey, it was just a joke :geek: Who knows they may transport the hive further with helicopter, so they needed them all in one place.

All the Manuka and kanuka is flowering Spectacularly well in golden bay.

Shame about the constant wind on the west side but beeks on the east side must be pretty happy

We have started our pre harvest brood check and anything that's exposed to the southwest winds is pretty much hopeless. Many hives have no honey on.

Anything that's in a sheltered position is doing ok, one particular area is doing awesome but a few clicks down the road the boxes are empty.

A very mixed season with not much hope of a good crop.

Ooops

hows the storm going up your way ?

Had a 72 klm wind gust and rain rate of 70 mls an hour for a bit but the storm has not arrived yet

As far as storms go, we have the Ovation of the Seas in port just down the road. They are sheltering overnight and will be here all day tomorrow. The wind would play havoc with that big thing.

Is that that big cruise liner
