Welcome to NZbees @Muson84 . The artwork on you long hives is wonderful. Thank you for sharing.

New Zealand bees are predominantly a mix of AM Carnica and AM Ligustica. The most common hives are to Langstroth dimensions.

Varroa Destructor is our biggest threat and causes the greatest losses. We don't have small hive beetle or European Foul Brood. We do have American Foul Brood and treat without antibiotics.

More than joy is that you do not foulbrood !!!

I was browsing through the gallery here and I loved it!

Can I buy honey, pollen and several mothers of someone?

Can you link to shop in the NT

What cures varroatosis?

We have a wide variety of medications - but most are not efficacious.

I use thymol, formic acid, essential oils and heavily infested with mites family almitraz by gassing.

Nosematosis for use primarily Nozevit and Nozestat and antibiotics for someone.

Average in a good year what you comes from a strong family? honey and pollen?

But we do have American foul brood and if you get it you have to burn all your wood ware.

your hives are a work of art.

I love the cylinder shape with the metal bands and so beautifully decorated.

Apparently australia has a facility to nuke disease and all the loving constructed hives can be wrapped up and sent to them.

But not here , here they are just burnt.

I Do not know why we have no facility , it is probably cost and our small population

Nosematosis for use primarily Nozevit and Nozestat

Hi Muson84

welcome to the forum.

can you tell me a bit more about how beekeepers in Bulgaria use Nozevit?

how many years have you used it. how often do you use it.

and what's your opinion. do you think it makes a big difference?

for us here Nosevit is a very new product.

by the way, the "mother bee" is called the "queen" in english.

english is the second language for me.

it's ok if someone make a jokes about my english (at my expense) but i can only understand if they correct me. :)

hello

I realized that joke on my back, but there is no problem :):):)

My personal opinion about Nozevit that is invaluable in the fight nosematosis.

For my security put it 2 times 2 times in spring and late autumn.

Always put it in dosage in combination with liquid food (inventory of syrup)

Definitely works.

Also give additional stimulants (vitamins) in the liquid food (inventory of syrup) after I gave Nozevit.

And my English is not a native but a third language which I'm trying to talk!

Many beekeepers bulk sell to private companies who then process and package to sell under their own brand name. Some beekeepers extract, package and market their own honey.

@Muson84 here in NZ the government is not involved in business with honey or anything about beekeeping. The government only makes new rules with new taxes and you have to pay them if you want to be a beekeeper. Also we have a law about how to keep bees.

As for business everything is private but within the limits of the law with many, many rules.

Also we do not have any governmental sponsored beekeeping research institute like the Eastern European countries do. We have few private research companies but they need money....... and money is not growing on the tree so they can not do too many researches in the same time.
