I like it though. Little while back i pulled off the road to take a phone call. Went to drive off, RH wheel was on gravel but LH wheel had sunk in the soft dirt and spun. Felt it spin, then felt the locker kick in and other wheel turned and off i went.

Often in mud and similar you can't actually feel the locker if it's working or not, but that time it was fun to feel it happen. 🙂

thats good, i saw the first one i ever seen in Blenhiem a bout 3 weeks ago, thought it looked quite cool

I just wish they were 50mm wider so as to not look like they are about to topple over.
Maybe some offset Rims and wide tires would help.

However, to put it in perspective, yesterday I looked at a Cruiser that had a small custom made deck.

The Deck cost 18k

Agreed the mahindra does look kinda skinny,  i think it's an optical illusion though, ugly design. A few years ago there was a "topple test" of mahindra flat deck vs hilux flat deck and the hilux went over first, the mahindra had a lower COG. Not sure how it would go against a cruiser.

But hey, if you want to feast your eyes on an outlandishly expensive cruiser, check this link, read the specs though, what a fun toy this thing would be.

Its the deck on the 4x4 Warehouse double cab Cruiser. (Taupo)

It is an advanced design with rear drawers below the deck and non hinged but removable sides.

The mud guards and flares are formed into the deck.

The roll Bar is infilled with CNC profile cut graphics.

It weighs 300kg and is powder coated.

Over the top IMO  but nice.

Its a 100k truck

They must be Aussies

Its a kiwi business thats been based at home for a few years but is now moving to a commercial location.

Of course my advice would be to stay at home because whats just happened to the logging industry is about to snowball into other sectors

One thing Ive learned about 4x4 beekeeping is that rough tracks will wreck any vehicle.

So why spend heaps on a flash work truck.

At 23k a Mahindra is very attractive and it could do the work while the 70k Cruiser sat shiny in the shed as a "going out truck":

Sort of like my RM Williams boots

Awesome, that will simplify the way you have to work heaps. 🙂

Funny you say that .

Its a whole heap easier working off the back of a Ute as opposed to getting stuff in and out of the back of the Pathfinder

If it never stops raining you'll be sorry about the old one...and you must have sealed roads....

You should see what I used to chuck in the old one . Should have gone on a deck .

There are very few non sealed roads around here . I’m struggling to think of any

Prado 1kz -TE are restricted to 10lb boost and a Factory set non adjustable Denso Electronic  injector pump.
They go ok but Im over ok.
It took about 2 years to figure it out but mine now goes a bit better than most.
I have a hill that the truck used to go up at 10 psi boost, 700 deg C egt (Pre turbo) at 80kmh.

Now it goes up at 20 psi boost, 600 deg C at 100kmh.

What else is there to do on a rainy Saturday while the wife hosts a kitchen Tea
