Archive Insect identification - Greenhead, Horsefly

I was taking pictures of my bees in the buckwheat. When I saw this insect slurping nectar with my bees. Any idea as to what it is? [attachment=1294:name]

Hmmm looks like some kind of fly to me, sorry can't give you the latin name.

Excellent photo Pbee. I get these little beasties on the corriander flowers. I have used it as my latest screen background:)
