neil miller 102
About now is good if you are buying a nucleus hive from a bee breeder. Swarm season is a few weeks away, it's a good way to get free and rip roaring bees but needs a bit of knowledge and nerve the first time. Good thing to go swarm collecting with an experienced bee keeper. Good luck.
Pbee 1,256
Hi @Parminder , Best place to buy bee gear ... Grow Your Beehive | Beekeeping Supplies | Auckland | NZ There are a lot of beekeepers in your area, just bee aware not to put your colonies right next to another beekeepers yard. I would say best place to start learning about bees is to have them in your garden.

Pbee 1,256
I'd go with @neil miller s answer. Swarming season starts soon. Enough time to buy your gear, suit, hive tool, smoker and join a Bee Club. Get a bee-buddy! (y)
