yesbut 6,232
Since the minor commotion in another thread, I have spent a wee while googling "bees insects pain" and have consequently realised that I may have been attributing to bees qualities they probably don't have, ie "feelings' or the ability to feel pain. So I've decided that like the praying mantis busily eating a fly while it is itself being eaten by a spider, that bees quite possibly don't know what's happening to their innards when they swallow oxalic, so Trevor, I've lifted the tapu, feel free to use the stuff by the bucket mate ! Alastair 8,630
Yes it's the big question, do they feel pain, or do they suffer? In the way we would understand it. Don't know. But if they do, having varroa must be pretty horrible so whatever we do must be a good thing?
