smashed hives in coromandel

Recommended Posts

copied from elsewhere, posted today 21 December:

I’ve just seen this on our local page;

“I have just been up Tapu-Coroglen. It's probably already been reported to police but someone has ram raided a gate up there and smashed/ overturned beehives. There are bees everywhere for a couple of kms. Not sure whose bees they are. If anyone knows please pass on.”

Maybe it's the same apiarist  (getting his hives trashed) that has put hives on a property with absolutely no Manuka, but conveniently there is a stack of Manuka directly through the fence on the neighbours. And the neighbour has his own sites which are now less than 1km from  these new ones. And it's very close to the 309 - so same sort of area.

sounds like you're trying to excuse interfering with the hives of others?

regardless, i hope the scum breaking the law and messing with hives get the full weight of the law thrown at them, or even better struck hard by karma. Hell, if someone is happy to smash hives then such dirty pieces of worthless dog-mess deserve their own hives to be smashed by fipronil. Dirt. just dirt.

Nothing excuses messing with legally placed hives, nothing.
