Would it be safe

Safe .....   Dunno . But interesting thing .... I travelled the world on a push bike in a former lifetime and never got anything stolen. One winter I headed up North on the treddly and got my  polar  fleece pants stolen off the back of the bike while parked up outside the Pak'n'Save in Blenhiem.

If you is comin down ..... throw in the Taiaha for good measure.

No No ...Im picking there will be a high percentage of impoverished South Islanders .....  It's probably too out field for our cousy bro up north.

And here's me thinking I did you a good turn telling you about the big rata year and all I have  Done is fill up your shed with unsold honey ..

The good turn is all right .... no problems with that. The honey in the shed just takes up too much space which means a truck has to sit out in the frost.

I would’ve loved to have gone, but my mini me is a bit little.

I quite like the South Island.

Just don’t go to Auckland and you’ll be fine  ? definitely a terrible representation of the North Island. Wellington is ok tho

The same with Queenstown in the south - it's like visiting another country. Mind you, that can be handy if you need a holiday and can't afford to go overseas.

I really liked Queenstown, but I only spent a week down there, I thought it was super cool.

I even waited in line for like an hour to get a Fergburger

Did you see any fights?  The paper I work for covers the Queenstown court and it's all bad tourist driving, bad tourist drinking, drink driving  and fights in the Fergburger queue

It's a nice place to be on holiday for a short time though and the scenery is lovely.

Supposedly the best burgers ever.

People will wait for hours and hours in a line in the freezing cold to get one, once you get near the front of the queue there’s a heater, it wouldn’t surprise me if the fights are over space in front of that ?

I didn’t think they were that great but it’s just one of those things you supposedly have to do if you go to Queenstown.

Hahahaha this does not surprise me at all.

I saw rather a lot of bad tourist drinking.

No fights but I did see a bus sliding backwards on the ice down a very steep hill going up to the Remarkables, that was quite a sight, I was fortunate to be on the bus behind it, which didn’t slide, that was quite exciting, it definitely made me less keen for the next days bus trip.
