Bees are insects.   Neonicitinoids, like all other insecticides, are designed to kill insects. Hence the term insect-i-cide.   So why is it a surprise that these insecticides kill

Neonicitinoids, like all other insecticides, are designed to kill insects. Hence the term insect-i-cide.

 

So why is it a surprise that these insecticides kill bees?

 

Or even better question, what do you propose doing about it? Ban insecticides?
