varroa evidence

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I found a hive dead which, from the outside, seemed well a fortnight ago, with good weight and some bees.

Examination showed no stores and evidence of starvation with bees bums presented, but one frame showed:

what look like wax bits, suggesting robbing leading to starvation

also is this the other pic varroa faeces ?  And is there a remnant varroa in a cell 5 in and 3 down from the left side ?

Or just artifacts ?

I would value opinions.

Thanks.

there is a bit there.

not uncommon for them to get weak them have robbers clean them out to the point they starve.
