NZBF Oxalic acid vs flumethrin

Recommended Posts

Kia ora

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction for some comparisons ie. availability, cost, residues, resistance, toxicity environmental concerns to be precise

It's doing my head trying to look for this stuff.

@northbushman1 don't forget to consider how each works in your consideration. In my view they are both useful at different times in the season.

Try this link perhaps? Comparing Mite Treatments | Bee Culture

Remember isn't NZ data but quite interesting anyway.

IMHO there is no one answer over all but a mite control strategy for the season with more than one tool is a must for colony survival.

Oxalic acid is good when there is no brood. No residue and no resistance.
