I'm feeling a bit mean about a couple of nucs that I've combined with hives about 50 metres away. Is there a way of re-directing the nucs' field bees to the new location of their queen & mates ?. At the monent they're gathered in sad clumps in the empty boxes on the old site.

Move the (nearly) empty boxes to the new site now, when it's dark, and shake the sad bees into the new hives. Or just leave them handy so they find each other in the morning.

same as Janice or just remove the boxs away and they will go to the nearest hive. Dont have any boxs or lids or anything in the place of the old hive they will keep returning to it.
Remove it completely and the bees wont cluster there
